After seeing the usage of players in Week 1, I calculated players’ following-week fantasy scores using some of my prediction models—which I have written about in the past. I also heavily took injuries and matchups into account. Players’ projections were then compared to their costs on the three major DFS sites. The players with the most value were found.
I have excluded many of the well-known studs and superstars from this article. Frankly, I don’t think it’s necessary to write a lot about them. Of those guys, many of them have great value this week: Carlos Hyde, Lamar Miller, Marshawn Lynch (especially on FanDuel), Jordan Matthews (especially on DraftKings), Rob Gronkowski, and Matt Forte.
Instead, I’ve given you the most valuable “best of the rest” players for the week. These are the cheap guys that can allow you the money to grab some of the expensive aforementioned star players. I have also included many of the players’ projected floor and ceiling scores. These were also calculated using the prediction models. Because I used a high C.I., the ranges are large. They give us clear indication who has good GPP potential (high ceiling) and who should be used primarily in cash games (high floor).
