Arian Foster Out for Season with Torn Achilles

The biggest news story of Week 7 was Arian Foster suffering a season-ending Achilles injury. I’ll cover that unfortunate story and all the other fantasy-relevant injury news you need to know heading into Week 8. As with every week, this article will be updated throughout the week as more is known regarding these injuries.

Quarterbacks

Ben Roethlisberger suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain and a bone bruise in Week 3. His expected timetable for return has been 4-6 weeks. He was limited in practices all last week, and was inactive in Sunday’s game.

At the moment, Roethlisberger’s ability to stand in the pocket and throw is very close to his pre-injury level. His overall mobility, on the other hand, is still impaired. This extra week of rest will help him regain his mobility quite a bit. I expect him to play wearing a hinged knee brace in Week 8.
