All "Had a Bad Day" Team, Week 4

The other side of the coin from this week's All-PFF Team, these are NFL-ers that would like to have that last one back.

Short of a firing up a time machine or stumbling onto some sort of magical rewind button, they'll have to live with their Week 4 performances and we're here to set them in the record. Not that we particularly love pointing them out, but in the interest of completeness – you know, being ‘fair and balanced' and all that – here's a team of players that simply had a bad day:

OFFENSE
.

Quarterback: Mark Sanchez, New York Jets (-5.9)
.
In a battle of quarterbacks vying to make this team, Sanchez ‘out-sucked’ Joe Flacco by just enough. Had one of those rare days, responding to the Ravens pressure by throwing more balls away (two) and more interceptions (one), than completions (zero).

Running Back: Shonne Greene, New York Jets (-1.5)
.
Greene joins his Jet QB, with the second part in this potent combination managing a whopping 23 yards on 10 carries.

Fullback: Le’Ron McClain, Kansas City Chiefs (-4.0)
.
Not quite a running back, and not quite a fullback. This was an example of why teams weren’t queuing up for McClain’s services in the offseason.

Tight End: Lance Kendricks, St Louis Rams (-5.2)
.
Hmm, not quite the instant star everyone thought he would be right? Kendricks dropped a ball, got in on the fun with allowing a quarterback hit and gave up two penalties. Oh, and his run blocking was terrible.

Wide Receivers: Mike Sims-Walker, St Louis Rams (-3.7) and Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia
Eagles (-2.2)
.
‘MSW’ did manage to catch one ball for 6 yards. Outside of that, not much went right. Two drops, two more incompletions and a penalty for good measure. Is he the anti-contract year type of player who can’t produce when a big pay day is on the line? Maclin walked away seven receptions, but dropped a ball and fumbled another that proved crucial.

Tackles: Rodger Saffold, St Louis Rams (-8.5) and Jeremy Trueblood, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.6)
.
Honestly, I do not have a vendetta against the Rams – they were just that bad. Saffold gave up four sacks in a single game. And six more hurries. That’s atrocious. Trueblood continues to prove his 2008 season was a fluke. Two more sacks surrendered; he even managed to make Jerry Hughes look like an NFL player.

Guards: Chris Kemoeatu, Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.9) and Kyle DeVan, Philadelphia Eagles (-4.7)
.
Everyone looks at the tackles as the problem in Pittsburgh, but Kemoeatu has been a long way from average for a long time. This wasn’t quite what Kyle Williams did to him last year, but Antonio Smith had a lot of fun playing against him. DeVan is getting benched this week after becoming a canvas for Ray McDonald to express himself on.

Center: Brian De La Puente, New Orleans Saints (-3.0)
.
Gave up a sack and had some issues with Terrence Knighton. As bad as he was, not that much of a downgrade on Olin Kreutz.

DEFENSE
.

Defensive Ends (4-3): Kyle Vanden Bosch, Detroit Lions (-3.0) and Red Bryant, Seattle Seahawks (-3.6)
.
Rough day for Vanden Bosch who only picked up one pressure against the Cowboys in a day when the Lions struggled to pick up pressure. Bryant is in the Seahawks' defense because of what he brings to the table in run D. So when he doesn’t contribute there(-1.8 run defense rating), he’s in danger of making this team, as he does.

Defensive Tackle (4-3): Tyson Alualu, Jacksonville Jaguars (-5.1) and Corey Williams, Detroit Lions (-3.9)
.
No pressure from Alualu, and he managed to take himself out of most running plays with his determination to get up field. Williams had three penalties against the Cowboys in a display that will get Lions fan even more eager to see Nick Fairley.

Linebackers (4-3): Kavell Conner, Indianapolis Colts (-4.5), Jamar Chaney, Philadelphia Eagles (-2.8) and James Anderson, Carolina Panthers (-3.5)
.
Conner gave up too many first downs in being the main man in coverage on 13 Buccaneer completions. Carolina outside linebacker James Anderson has had better days with his run defense than he managed against the Bucs, where he really struggled to make an impact. As for Chaney? Well is anyone surprised that an Eagles linebacker makes this team?

Defensive Line (3-4): J.J. Watt, Houston Texans (-3.1), Antonio Garay, San Diego Chargers (-2.5) and Ziggy Hood, Pittsburgh Steelers (-2.4)
.
Watt didn’t help himself with a costly penalty, and while he picked up a sack, doing so on a running back puts things into perspective. Is it time to call Ziggy Hood a bust? It’s Year 3 and Hood just hasn’t ever been able to live up to the status of being a first round pick. Garay found it tricky dealing with Mike Pouncey. No shame there.

Outside Linebackers (3-4): Joey Porter, Arizona Cardinals (-3.3) and Justin Houston, Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5)
.
While Clark Haggans is enjoying a renaissance on the left side, Porter had another day of picking up no pressure. Chiefs rookie Justin Houston just doesn’t look ready for a starters gig on base downs, giving up four completions on four balls thrown at him.

Inside Linebackers (3-4): James Farrior, Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.8) and Kevin Burnett, Miami Dolphins (-2.1)
.
Not often you’ll see Farrior struggle as much as he did, with Mike Brisiel his chief tormentor, getting to the second level and rendering the Steeler redundant. Do Miami fans remember being happy about replacing Channing Crowder with Kevin Burnett. Less punch in the running game and where’s the coverage upgrade?

Cornerbacks: Nnamdi Asomugha, Philadelphia Eagles (-5.0) and Terrence Johnson, Indianapolis Colts (-3.2)
.
Anyone surprised to see Asomugha on this list? He gave up yards, missed tackles and looked incredibly uncomfortable against the 49ers. Johnson was benched for a period after showing everyone why the Colts maybe weren’t so wise to release the underrated Justin Tryon. That summed up his day.

Safeties: Brandon Meriweather, Chicago Bears (-4.1) and Major Wright, Chicago Bears (-3.3)
.
So when does Chris Harris get back?
