Advanced Targets – Week 7 Wrap

Golden Tate Advanced Targets goes behind the scenes and provides snap and pass route splits in addition to target numbers. Yards per route (YPRR), targets per snap (TA/SN), targets per route (TA/PR), and pass routes per snap (PR/SN) are exclusive PFF metrics that will help inform your start/sit, waiver wire, and trade decisions in a way no other service can.

Last week I recommended trading for Sammy Watkins based on the extremely high number of pass routes he’s been running over the last month. Unfortunately, he may have capitalized on that too quickly. The high profile rookie is obviously going to be expensive to acquire after his 9-122-2 line in Week 7. We may not be able to pry Watkins away at this point, but we can continue to use this information to find compelling free agent targets a week or two before they break out. This week we’ll start by looking at the receivers who were targeted on the highest percentage of their routes.
