It’s easy to look at the box scores and make conclusions about fantasy performance, but the numbers often don’t tell the whole story. Each week, I’ll dig a little deeper and pull out some need-to-know stats that will help you dominate your league.
1. Duke Johnson scored 0.84 PPR fantasy points per opportunity.
Johnson finally got things going in Week 4 to the tune of nine catches for 85 yards and a score in addition to 35 yards rushing. However, his fantasy points per opportunity really stands out. Only Tavon Auston (1.20) and Leonard Hakerson (0.92) were higher on Sunday. It’s also important to note that Johnson out-snapped Isaiah Crowell 45-27. Now, don’t expect this type of snap distribution every week, but Johnson will continue to be involved in this offense. Johnson has explosive ability, as he showed in college last season with 826 yards on plays of 15-yards or more, and his fantasy stock is trending upward.
