Notes

  • Washington have plenty of talent on offense, and they have several capable targets for whoever starts the season at quarterback. DeSean Jackson may not have had the best season in his first year in Washington in 2014, but he is still a big play threat, leading the league with 600 yards on passes travelling 20 yards or more through the air last season. Pierre Garcon is a more than capable number two receiver, while tight end Jordan Reed was third at the tight end position, with 1.89 Yards Per Route Run.

  • The big question remains at quarterback. We all saw how talented Robert Griffin III was in his rookie season, with the former Baylor signal caller impressing everyone, both with his arm and his legs. Since then however, things have gone south. Since his knee injury at the end of his rookie season Griffin has been a shell of that player and hasn’t looked like re-discovering that form. Can he get back to the level we saw during his rookie season in 2015?

  • They added talented players across that defensive line this offseason and, while we’d have Jason Hatcher as a starter, which he isn’t currently slated to be, there’s no denying that they got better there. Terrance Knighton is stout against the run, and was our 12th highest graded defensive tackle in 2014. One spot above him was fellow new signing Stephen Paea, with his 47 total pressures helping him to the fourth highest pass rushing grade at the position.

  • Losing Brian Orakpo definitely isn’t a good thing, but they obviously have confidence that Ryan Kerrigan and Trent Murphy will be a good enough duo. Murphy was solid as a rookie, finishing the season as our 25th highest graded 3-4 outside linebacker. The only concern there being that his positive grade came as a result of his work against the run, with some work needed to his play as a pass rusher.
  • Dalen Erickson

As a Cowboys fan Im shocked to see Morris as average here. Perhaps you did that because he is not a capable receiver but when it comes to toting the rock between the tackles he is right up there in the top 8 or so

    • NAJ

Yeh he’s a good back but literally offers nothing in the passing game so has to come out for Helu a lot. Cost me many a good fantasy point as well haha

      • Dalen Erickson

agreed. He and Helu combined to be a really great RB haha. It was an ideal duo for that reason

  • Jaguars28

Embarrassing that we lost to this team by so much last year.

    • TheKlot

Well it was pretty obvious who was going to win that. Skins are bad but Jags are terrible.

      • Jaguars28

Redskins are pretty terrible too. They got blown out 27-7 by the Bucs after all.

        • TheKlot

And you guys lost to the guys that lost to the bucs… questions?

          • Jaguars28

No, lol. I have no idea why you seem so offended.

          • TheKlot

Not offended, just responding to the fact that you seemed so shocked that your team lost to the Redskins when your team was worse off.

          • Jaguars28

It wasn’t the fact that we lost, it was the fact that we got blown out.

        • ImperishablePhantasm

I mean, you’re kinda the Jags… That says enough… lol.

          • Jaguars28

Who blew out the Browns and came back against the Giants, who swept the Redskins IIRC

  • Ben Fitzgerald

Graphs new colour theme looks worse and is less visually intuitive imo.

  • ShaqSlap

Fun to dust off the magnifying glass once in a while.

    • NAJ

Press Ctrl+ on your keyboard if it’s small….

  • Kyle

Keenan Robinson and Alfred Morris are pretty good starters, with Morris being one of the most productive backs in the league.

  • Dalen Erickson

Needs an update now that they have Gillette. Big change for that defense.

  • TheKlot

These haven’t been updated in forever…

  • Elliott Thweatt

Can we get a do-over …. since this wasn’t exactly “on point” … and our fans would like to be able to properly perform our armchair GM duties!!! :-) #HAIL
