2014 PFF Going Deep Recap

EddieLacyMike Clay recently put together a star-studded cast for the 2014 Going Deep league. The rules and format require a very deep starting lineup.

18-man rosters
13-man starting lineups (1QB, 3RB, 6WR, 2TE, 1 Superflex)
Relatively basic scoring, but Quarterbacks receive one point for every 30 passing yards and tight ends get 1.5 points for each reception (1.0 PPR otherwise).

Here’s a quick introduction to the competitors.

Scott Pianowski – Yahoo
Jason Sablich – New York Times
Dave Richard – CBS Sports
JJ Zachariason – numberFire
Pete Schoenke – Rotowire
Salvatore Stefanile – Sportable
Bob Harris – Football Diehards
Matt Schauf – Draft Sharks
Jared Smola – Draft Sharks

And then you’re familiar with Mike, Jeff Ratcliffe, and me.

With so much on the line with each pick, I thought it would be fun to run down the rosters and look at the best selections and most controversial picks. Controversial doesn’t necessarily mean “poor.” In my experience, the controversial picks often turn out to be the league winners.
