The top player stacks for Week 11 in DFS

HOUSTON, TX - JANUARY 09: Travis Kelce #87 and quarterback Alex Smith #11 of the Kansas City Chiefs celebrate a fourth quarter touchdown by Spencer Ware (not pictured) during the AFC Wild Card Playoff game against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium on January 9, 2016 in Houston, Texas. The stacking strategy in DFS involves pairing multiple skill position players from the same team. In some occasions, there is value in loading up with an “onslaught” — as it’s termed in the DFS community — with sometimes up to four players from the same team.

Just like any strategy option in DFS, there are multiple ways to grab value from stacking. You can pay up for your stack and find two of the highest-scoring players in all of DFS that week. Sometimes, you can even find two of the highest scorers without paying up and instead finding value in the middle range. And of course, you can win using my favorite strategy — bargain stacks that allow you to find game-winners in the rest of your lineup.

Every week we’ll break down all of my favorite stacks overall and make the case for why you should be using them in your DFS tournament and cash games. Let’s jump right in.

(These stacks are not specific to FanDuel or DraftKings unless signified in the writeup.)

Alex Smith, QB, Tyreek Hill, WR, and Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs

Paying up for your stack doesn’t always make sense, but in a Week 11 slate that is easily the ugliest of the 2017 season, it’s wise to dive in on a sure-fire stack. This one will cost you extra, but you get the luxury of taking an 11-point favorite with an extremely high projected team points total. The Giants defense is one of the five best to target on a weekly basis in DFS and they will once again be without almost their entire linebacker corps. Hill should draw Eli Apple on the majority of his snaps, but with the effort star cornerback Janoris Jenkins showed in Week 10, it’s no lock that he won’t do most of his damage while lined up at the split end. The Giants have allowed a touchdown to tight ends in every week this season and the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.
