We’re almost done with football for the year, with three games left (four if you count the Pro Bowl). But there’s still fantasy football to analyze, with a two-game DFS slate to play in Conference Championship this weekend.
Below are 26 quick-hit stats to know for this weekend’s Patriots-Jaguars and Vikings-Eagles games to help you set DFS lineups and make any adjustments to your leagues.
Let’s get right to it.
New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
1. The Patriots (+162) and the Jaguars (+149) were the only two teams in the AFC to have positive point differentials above 100 this season.
2. On the season as a whole, New England only gave up 28 more points than Jacksonville. But Jacksonville only scored 41 fewer points than New England.
3. Tom Brady was accurate on 76 percent of his throws this year, the seventh-best rate in the NFL. Blake Bortles checked in at 72.6 percent — tied for 19th.
4. Bortles had the seventh-highest NFL passer rating on play action passes this year, at 106.8. His passer rating without play action was 77.8.
5. Dion Lewis was third in the NFL (minimum 100 rushing attempts) in elusive rating. He forced 49 missed tackles on 212 touches.
6. Lewis (3.17) gained significantly more average yards after contact this year than Leonard Fournette (2.47).
7. In PPR leagues, Fournette (eighth; 0.42), Lewis (t-fifth; 0.44), and Rex Burkhead (t-fifth; 0.44) all ranked in the top eight in terms of fantasy points per snap.
8. New England’s receivers (14) caught more total touchdowns than Jacksonville’s (12). But only three different New England receivers caught all of those scores; Jacksonville had six different receivers score.
9. Brady had a passer rating over 100 when targeting all three of New England’s primary receivers. Bortles did not have a passer rating over 90 when targeting any of Jacksonville’s receivers.
10. Marqise Lee’s 12.5 percent drop rate was third-highest among qualifying NFL receivers this year.
11. Brandin Cooks gained 608 yards on deep passes this year, which trailed only Tyreek Hill for most in the NFL. He didn’t drop any of his deep targets.
12. Danny Amendola gained 1.78 yards per route run out of the slot this year, ninth-highest mark among receivers. Allen Hurns wasn’t far behind, at 1.67 YPRR (12th).
13. Rob Gronkowski gained 2.40 YPRR this year — easily the most among all tight ends. It was his second year in a row leading the position in YPRR.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesota Vikings
14. Of the four quarterbacks remaining, Case Keenum’s completion percentage (67.6 percent) this season was the highest. It trailed only Drew Brees’ record-setting figure of 72 percent as the second-highest mark among all quarterbacks this year.
15. Just 12.5 percent of Keenum’s pass attempts traveled 20-plus yards downfield this year, but he scored 27.2 percent of his touchdowns on those throws.
16. Including the playoffs, Nick Foles’ 13.8 passer rating on deep passes was the lowest among all quarterbacks who started any game this year.
17. Jay Ajayi was the NFL’s third-most-elusive running back this year (minimum 10 attempts), forcing 27 missed tackles on 98 touches.
18. Since Week 10, only Melvin Gordon (153) and Jamaal Williams (142) had more rushing attempts than Latavius Murray (138).
19. Since Week 10, only Mark Ingram (8) had more rushing touchdowns than Latavius Murray (7).
20. Jerick McKinnon has run 303 pass routes this year — 11th-most among all running backs. It was also a career high.
21. Including the playoffs, quarterbacks had a passer rating of 119.6 when targeting Stefon Diggs, fourth-highest among all wideouts.
22. 25.2 percent of Diggs’ targets come 20-plus yards downfield, but he scored 55.6 percent of his touchdowns on such targets this year (5-of-9)
23. Nelson Agholor (311) actually far outgained Torrey Smith (175) on deep balls this year.
24. No wideout caught more touchdowns out of the slot than Agholor this season (8). In fact, no other receiver had more than 6 touchdowns from the slot.
25. The Vikings gave up the fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends this year, and no tight end has scored against them since Week 5.
26. Zach Ertz gained 1.97 yards per route run this season, fourth-highest among all tight ends, trailing Rob Gronkowski, Travis Kelce, and Hunter Henry.
