Hey there football fans, here are five things from yesterday you need to know to start off your Fridays:

  1. PFF's Cam Mellor brought you a ranking of all 32 passing games in the NFL. The Super Bowl Champions are at the top because of the dominant play of their two biggest stars, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. Unsurprisingly, most of the teams at the bottom of the list don't really know who will be playing quarterback for them in the upcoming season.
  2. Michael Bennett thinks DeForest Buckner could be a defensive MVP. Bennett believes that Buckner's combination of size, strength, and speed is a unique combination. Usually we run the stories about what teammates are saying about one another. The fact that Bennett said this about a player playing for a division rival speaks volumes.
  3. RB Jonathan Stewart is likely to receive the bulk of the carries for the Panthers this year. This is despite the team spending a high first-round draft pick on fellow running back Christian McCaffrey. This isn't all that surprising, as McCaffrey doesn't really profile as a 20 carry player. He is best utilized as a match up nightmare for defenses.
  4. Drew Brees is likely to make Willie Snead a fantasy asset. PFF's Daniel Kelley found that even if Brees begins to fall from the mighty statistical heights that he has kept over these last few seasons, his No. 2 wide receivers tend to do very well in fantasy. So well in fact that Snead is likely to be of good value on draft day so long as he remains down in the 30s of wide receivers being drafted.
  5. Which teams have the most intriguing teammate fantasy wide receivers? That's the question that Brandon Marianne Lee has answered for you. Not every No. 2 option will be fantasy relavent, but these secondary options should provide you good value. (Hint: Willie Snead also makes this list, as does Ted Ginn Jr.)
