5 Questions
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 16
With just one week left in the regular season, the team sit down for another five questions.
This week, as well as looking at the best performances from the penultimate week of games, they look at the keys to the de facto playoff game in New York to decide the NFC East winner, as well as the chances of the two teams in control of their own destiny in the AFC.
They then move on to an area in which it’s been a big year and choose the pass rushers they’d put in with the game on the line and finish off the discussion by looking at the most improved players of the year.
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 15
With just two weeks left in the regular season the team sit down for another look back at the week and a look forward at what’s to come.
As well as looking back at the best (and worst) performances of the week our team will look at two teams expected to be in the playoffs, yet still hoping for help, and the reasons for their recent upturn in results. They also question whether the Packers’ shock loss to the Chiefs could actually be a good thing.
To finish off the team look at a side of things often over looked at this time of year, handing out awards to their best offensive and defensive linemen and choosing the player they are most disappointed to see on IR.
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 14
Another week, another look around the league for our analysts. As we hit the home stretch of the season the guys sit down and take stock.
Aside from looking back at the week’s action and choosing their best performer and biggest surprise, they’ll look at some impressive Signature Stats for the season, choose their “best of the rest”.
Finally they picked their dream Superbowl match up with just under two months until the big game.
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 13
Back again for this week’s sit-down, our analysts take a breather from their review work and run through a set of questions covering a variety of timely topics.
They’ll make their calls on the pair of potential perfect seasons, identify their choice for second-best defensive rookie in the league, and offer up some interesting pairings when looking at vet-rookie teammate combos.
This week wraps with a hypothetical about what they’d like to add to PFF’s analysis if there were no restrictions in place.
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 12
Five more questions and 25 more answers.
In this week’s edition, we’ll explore Houston’s shot with yet another new quarterback running the show, what to take away from Darrelle Revis’ day against Steve Johnson, and get some comments on the state of fullback play in the NFL.
In addition, our analysts take a look at some of the players that are grading right near the 0.0 mark and doing the job as the typical talent at their respective positions.
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 11
The Five Questions guys return for another survey of where their football thoughts are landing these days.
Of course, they’ll call out their top performances of the week as always, but this time they’ll also join forces to build a dream defensive front, offer candidates for Play of the Year, and direct your attention to some Turkey Day matchups. Some Tim Tebow fascination makes an appearance too (what would an NFL-centered conversation be these days without it?)
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 10
To go along with our favorite question (this week’s top performance), we’ve hit some areas that we’d be interested to hear your opinions about. A player off the radar but on his way, one eyeing the end, and a handful of this-guy-or-that choices. And a division prediction to boot.
You watch the games, you read along and check the stats, so please do chime in and let us know your answers for this week’s questions. Agree with one of our guys? Got one that wasn’t mentioned but should have been? Let us know in the comments section below.
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 9
Whether it be an increased workload, or needing to catch their breath after as exciting a week of football as we’ve seen, our analysts took a little bit longer to get their responses in this week.
But they’re here now, with the tough questions being put to Ben Stockwell, Khaled Elsayed, Nathan Jahnke, Neil Hornsby and Sam Monson as we get their thoughts on what is currently going on in the NFL world.
This week we’ve got traditional questions looking at which performances most impressed us, as well as seasonal ones that look into our very own Midseason All-Pro Team. What do our analysts have on their mind? Do you agree? The only way to find out is to get to reading what they’ve all had to say.
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 8
Back again for another chance to sit down and pull tidbits of football gold from the minds of our analysis team.
This week, they’ll highlight the best they saw in last week’s action, assemble a dream offensive line, talk Super Bowl bets, and take on a hypothetical involving some stars of the San Francisco defense.
Five Analysts, Five Questions, Week 7
Are we really approaching midseason already? Time flies.
Our analysts have been run ragged (don’t worry, they love it), so this week I’m not going to grill them for detailed reviews or bold predictions. Instead, we’ll step back a bit and mix in some perspective on their PFF experience.
It’s a quick glimpse as always, but with a twist. We’ll get a peek at not only what’s rattling around in their heads football-wise, but also some hints about their parts in this little thing we call Pro Football Focus.
