Have a question before you sign up? Feel free to contact Mike Clay at mike.clay@profootballfocus.com

  • CaptainHuggyFace

Is this different than a Premium subscription?

  • pirates60

My question is how do we input our scoring system to get customized rankings. I dont see a area in the wizard where we can input the scoring. For example my QBs get 6 points for all TDs. Where do we input that?

    A little confused..

    • http://twitter.com/MikeClayNFL Mike Clay

For this you want to use the Custom Rankings Tool. Link is in the Fantasy Tools menu in the upper right.

  • pirates60

forget that post i just found it…thanks

  • pirates60

Ok I have another question…can we export the customized rankings to excel?

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

I sent that request to our IT guy. We’ll get it sorted.

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

      This has been sorted.

  • CaptainHuggyFace

Why do I have to pay another $25 for stuff I used to get with premium? I love you guys but I feel a bit taken advantage of.

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Nothing you get with the premium stats has been taken away from the free side.

  • mvp1961

Just to confirm, the cheat sheet wizard doesn’t support IDP leagues, correct?

    Thanks

    Mario

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

It does not, but that’s a tool designed by our friends at FantasyPros.com.

You can, however, get custom IDP rankings by using our ‘Custom Rankings Tool’. It also provides Auction values and a complete ‘overall’ list.

  • CaptainHuggyFace

I used to be able to view depth charts with my premium subscription, but now I cannot since I do not have PFF Gold. So it looks like at least one thing has been taken away from me. What gives?

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Khaled Elsayed

      CHF

The depth charts were never apart of the PFF Premium subscription. The Premium subscription gave access to analysis, while all content on the fantasy side was free to anyone regardless of whether they had a membership or not.

For our fantasy staff to continue to pump out content they’ve had to move their content to behind a paywell as part of PFF Fantasy Gold so that they can maintain the high levels of quality information they put out. Two very different products, with one targeted solely at fantasy players and the other dedicated to breaking down player performance. Everything that a Premium Subscription bought you is still available.

      Hope that clears it up.

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Khaled is 100% right. Depth Charts – like all Fantasy content – has never been behind a paywall. Thanks for signing up!

      • CaptainHuggyFace

So depth charts used to be free and now it’s behind a paywall? Seriously? It would have been nice to have been given advanced notice of this.

        • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

I know you’re on Twitter and we’ve mentioned that several times…not sure why you needed the notice. Feel free to sign up and you’ll get full access to everything.

          • CaptainHuggyFace

            Okie dokee

  • jupap7

Where can we found all these stuff you described :
Consensus Rankings from multiple PFF Fantasy staffers
Player Handcuff lists across all fantasy positions
Offensive and IDP Waiver Wire – including Dynasty
Offensive and IDP Trade Desk – including Dynasty
Deep League Gems for both offensive and IDP leagues
In-depth IDP Breakdown of each game every week

All these parts (which i found) seems around all the site, and not in a clear section. That’s a little confusing.

Whitout this subscription i was able to acces to all fantasy articles. So what’s new for a subscriber ?

In the PFF ranking Tol=ol, i’va only got stats named 2012 ? Where does these numbers came from ? Can i have the same rankings (ie with my customs scoring settings) for the past (2011, 2010 … ) ?

    Thanks for your reply.

    • http://twitter.com/MikeClayNFL Mike Clay

Check out the Fantasy Tools menu in the upper right. Thanks

  • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Check out the Fantasy Tools menu. You can find everything currently available there. Not everything is locked from the pyawall yet, but that transition will be complete in the next 48 hours.

Waiver Wire, Trade Desk, Gems, IDP Breakdown won’t pop up until the season, obviously, but we’ll have a set each week of the season.

We’re still getting organized but we’ll have a pretty, clean-up menu for all Gold Tools in the next week or so. You’ll be in good shape in plenty of time for the season.

Why would you want the past? The tool is using our projections, applying them to your league settings, and providing you with a set of 2012 rankings custom to your league. If you want old data, go to the Fantasy Stats Tool. 2008-to-2011 data is included.

  • cassab13

Can you add flex(qb,wr,rb,te) to custom leagues and point per return yards???

    Thank you in advance

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Flex is already an option, but does not yet include QB. One trick (for now) – QB is sure to be the best bet for the flex, so simply choose 2 QB and leave the flex empty. That should get you the best results. We’ll get QB added in there as soon as possible.

We’re in the process of working return yards in, as well.

      • cassab13

Thank you Mike, keep up the good work, also where can I get the App??

        • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

The App isn’t up yet, but the tech guys are sorting it out. Should be up any day now. Thanks for your patience.

  • tcooper

One thing I’d like to see is being able to put all your league teams and opponents rosters in so you can really see who’s available during the auction. Also what the auction value is per the salary cap in the league with a possible inflation. That might be a lot but always helpful..TIA. Tommy

    • tcooper

Also another thing is importing the scoring, rosters, maybe some setting and salary cap info from the various sites that hosts leagues like MFL. Would make things easier on us regarding time.

      Tommy

      • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Thanks for the thoughts – I’ll definitely mark these down as potential additions to the tool down the road.

  • corey09f

How do we get the phone App? I have an Android phone and the only one I see with that name is by “GoAheadScore.com” for $2.99.

  • corey09f

Sorry, just saw above that it isnt ready yet. Ill keep an eye out for it, but having the exact name will still be helpful.

    Thanks!

  • mule99

What formula are you using to derive the auction values? I can’t seem to back into your values and I prefer to understand the underlying methodology before I rely on something for my draft.

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Plain and simple It’s VBD driven. I count starters and 1 replacement level player per team as the baseline for most positions. I devalue K and D and the rest is just math.

  • jjc551

Can you update the scoring options to include bonus points for certain thresholds of passing/rushing/receiving yards?

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Jeff, we’ve had a few requests for add-ons and we’ll continue to work on upgrades to the new tool. We appreciate you signing on. Thanks.

      • steveb1164

Just purchased the Gold. Could you please add the date of the last update to the projections pages. It would be very helpful. Thanks.

        • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Last update was earlier this week. I’ll look into it, but you can feel safe knowing I update several times a week – certainly as needed based on news and transactions.

  • phillyfan00

I just signed up for the premium package, and I jsut realized that the gold package wasn’t included in that package, can I instead switch to the gold package, and does the gold package include the wizard

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

We’ll get that corrected. And yes.

  • phillyfan00

    Thank You.

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

      Your account is now correct.

  • kmeers

Is there any way to add a keeper option to the Custom Rankings Tool?

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

No, unfortunately dynasty isn’t as simple as projections, but we do have updated dynasty rankings on the site.

  • nicaragua

I think the Custom Rankings Tool is great. However I think more detail needs to be added. For one, as someone mentioned, bonus points based on yardage levels. The other thing I would like to see is being able to have PPR points for RB, WR, and TE separate so they can be diffenent. Likewise on the defense, different point values for Tackles, Sacks Pass Defensed between DLs, LBs, and DBs.

I’m sure a lot of people here use My Fantasy League, and they allow you to customize your league to this level of detail. Would be a great help!!

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Thanks for the comment. I agree we need additional choices and I assure you will continue adding to it. Thanks!

  • steveb1164

Any chance you could add the date that the projections were updated somewhere?

    • steveb1164

Sorry I just saw your reply on the other post.

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Let me look into that. Thanks.

  • steveb1164

Could you please add one decimal point to your weekly projections for categories that are under 10 like TDs, INTs, Receptions, etc. Weekly projections are pretty much useless if they aren’t accurate like that.

    • http://twitter.com/MikeClayNFL Mike Clay

Good point. I’ll talk to my tech guy.

  • tbinstl

Any thought to adding a coupon or discount for those of us that have the premium package, so we can also get the Gold package. I would be very interested.

  • jruocco

Which subscription would be recommended at this point, (Draft tools ect. not considered). Premium or Gold? And what are some of the fundamental differences? If anyone could comment. Thanks,

    • http://www.profootballfocus.com Mike Clay

Depends if you only want the stat package or you want all fantasy content. Premium stats is only the stats. Fantasy Gold is the entire Fantasy section, including a Fantasy stat page.

  • jimmy the C

Any discount to go gold in week 11???

  • potential subscriber

does signing up for PFF Fantasy Gold unlock Premium Statistics??

  • Girod, michael

can we package pff fantasy gold with premium stats

  • potentially lost customer

So I don’t get the premium stats w this package? And/or I don’t get this w premium stats? Why wouldn’t you have a combo deal to get both for like 34.99 or something, a price point the average user could live with? As it is I can’t stomach $52, but I don’t wanna just buy one either cuz I feel like I’m getting jipped out of the other one. Just seems like it’d be a simply fix to me. I’d buy both for a reasonable combo price, but neither as is if I’m losing out on the other stuff. I’m sure I’m not the majority, but I’m also sure I’m not alone, would definitely boost up your adds of people who’d otherwise only choose one purchase. Just a thought.

    • http://twitter.com/MikeClayNFL Mike Clay

This is definitely under consideration for 2013 season. Thank you.

      • NateDawg

I echo the sentiment that a combo package would be a good thing!

      • http://www.facebook.com/craig.ressler.5 Craig Ressler

I too would be interested in a combo package. A lot of us are married and can’t justify to our wives that we need to make two individual fantasy subscriptions. I can justify one at a reasonable price much easier than two at a combined not so doable and justifiable price. Please let me know the progress of your discussions on this. I am definitely interested in a combo purchase. Thanks.
